Uninterrupted time with the Lord

I got to spend some uninterrupted time with the Lord this morning.

My loving husband took the kids out, to run some errands.
So I sat on our couch with my Bible open, and He spoke to me.
After reading and "resting" in His presence,
After 2 Timothy 4 and Hebrews 12,
I landed on Psalm 48, which says, "
Great is the LORD, and most worthy of praise,
in the city of our God, his holy mountain."

So, I closed my eyes, and this song came out of my mouth... I couldn't remember the last time I sang this song, and in Portuguese.
Tears flowed...
I was in the presence of my Holy and Loving God.
Thank you, Lord, for meeting with me this morning.

Blah...

Lord,

I want to welcome you to my Friday.
I feel so BLAH today...
I am tired.  Physically.  Mentally.  Emotionally.  Spiritually.
I come to YOU, LORD, because you've promised to BE with me during these times.
I BELIEVE... help my UNBELIEF.
I praise you for fearfully and wonderfully making me.
I thank you for the breath of life you've granted me.
Please forgive me for neglecting your WORD.
Help me to stand tall when the waves crash and the winds blow.
I am YOURS.
"One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple."
Psalm 27:4

Amen.

At MOTTTS yesterday, we read these verses and I told myself I would commit to them this coming week.  I needed to hear this.  It's nothing new.  But it refreshes, encourages, and challenges me.

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.  And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.  For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
Hebrews 12:1-3
